BRIEF
Salesian College Celbridge wanted a short, informational video about their fundraiser for a new all-weather pitch.
The video would have school principal Ms.Kearns explaining the new fundraiser. Complementary footage was to go alongside the video.
A specific requirement was made to have the school’s old pitch ‘visually transformed’ into a new all-weather pitch.
PHOTOSHOPPING AN ALL-WEATHER PITCH
The idea was to have a before and after shot of the current school football pitch transforming into the planned all-weather pitch. This idea had its challenges but ultimately I decided the best solution for the time given was to create a before and after shot by using my photoshop skills.
Adam Quinn (drone operator) got me an aerial shot of the school’s current football pitch and I asked him to get me a shot of the local football club’s astro pitch as well. It needed to be from a very similar angle and elevation in order to make the photoshop process work. Once both shots were acquired, I went into Adobe Photoshop and began perspective shifting the image. I removed machinery, tools and people from the astro pitch image. This was a long tedious process, but it was necessary to ensure the image looked believable.
